Horses and the West
I never tire of photographing horses. That is obvious! My connection to horses is, and always will be, a special part of me. The shear beauty of horses in flight is special in every way. Their nostrils flaring, their manes flying and the sounds of pounding hooves is magical. They have also been such an important part of history throughout the ages.
The horse has long been the symbol, along with the cowboy, of the Great American West. That image is still alive in many parts of the world and why not? It continues to reflect the romance of an era that we reflect on today.
The "cowboy culture" continues on with men and women who still ranch the land with their horses and those that share the joy of riding them for pleasure or competition. These images are some of my favorites.
